The Need for Ruwaza
Development is more than economic growth. Addressing the collective wellbeing of marginalized and vulnerable communities is essential to achieve the sustainability of conservation and development strategies.
If our approaches to development and conservation support wealth at higher levels but undermine the social and ecological sustainability of communities at the grassroots, then these approaches will neither be sustainable over time nor contribute to the prosperity of society as a whole.
At RUWAZA we undertake social, ecological, spatial and institutional research, and engage in development practice, that supports communities and organizations in their efforts to address the rights and needs of minorities and marginalized groups and to do development that contributes to realizing human potential, the well-being of society as a whole and the preservation of healthy landscapes.

Would you agree that it is time to led by good example? To let Ruwaza transform the way development is done?
